Good Places in Rome

If you are going to be visiting Rome in the near future and are looking for great places to visit inside the city be sure to check these out while your there.

Vatican City is a must see for any tourist visiting Rome. Vatican City consist of several museums and original catholic churches, so if you are interested in the beginnings of Roman Catholicism be sure to check out the churches inside the city. Vatican City is best known as the home of the pope, the most holiest man in the catholic religion, but it also contains museums on Roman history and the lifespan of the civilization.

The Baths of Caracalla are also a great place to visit when in Rome. Located at the base of the Aventine hill the Baths of Caracalla are basically an original outdoor Roman bathhouse. Bathing in public was considered normal back in Roman times and at any given time there could be hundreds of people bathing in the waters.

Ostia Antica are the ruins of the old port that was frequently used in Roman days. You can spend your time touring the city and sightseeing all of the old houses and shops that were once apart of everyday Roman life.

Overall if you are going to be visiting Rome and are looking for places to visit all three of these are great choices. If you are not that good with navigation there are several day tours offered by touring companies that will take you to all of the hotspots located in Rome.
