Church of Sant' Ignazio in Rome

This old and historic church was built in 1626 with several new buildings having been built in Rome. It was erected in the name of Iñigo López de Loyola, who was later made a saint. After that the church was dedicated to the Society of Jesus, a highly revered religious order that was officially founded in 1534.

The Church of Saint Ignatius is a magnificent structure, with many beautiful works of architecture that include marble wall panels, pilasters that lead the way through the Stations of the Cross and intricate arches, while the main altar is done in giltz-bronze.
