Villa Ada in Rome

Villa Ada is located in the northeastern part of Italy and is one of the largest open parks in Rome. From eighteen seventy two to eighteen seventy eight and from nineteen o' four until nineteen forty six the royal Italian family called the park home. In present times the park is separated into two areas, one area is for the public while the other area is for the private. The private area is lived in by the Egyptian Embassy. This part for the park has several private homes built on the property and is observed day and night by police and guards.

The park contains many trees running along the artificially created lake. Most of the trees are common for the area such as holm oaks, stone pines, and laurels; although the park does also contain an extremely rare metasequoia tree that was imported from the nation of Tibet in the nineteen forties.

During the summer the park host the world-music festival which contains many forms of music and is aimed at sending the message of no racism, death penalty or war. It is considered by some a protest concert for the benefit of mankind.

Besides the events and the nature the public area of the park is open to runners and joggers looking to stay in shape. If you are interested in visiting the park but don't know how to get there there are public buses that run during regular visiting hours to the park and the surrounding area.

Overall if you are visiting Rome and are in the area check out Villa Ada to take in some fresh air and nature.
